Forge was founded by Laura Hildebrand and Logan Dailey in 2025 and with our inaugural year set to begin, we could not be more excited!
The story starts with two kids beginning college back in our home state - Pennsylvania.
Before meeting, Laura’s volleyball career started young at the age of 12. Early on Laura developed a strong relationship with the sport and went on to compete at the highest club and high school level. Being positioned as a libero played a key role in Laura’s success and opened the door for her to compete at the collegiate level at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
This is where the story truly begins. Laura and Logan met early in their college years and quickly formed a strong connection. Logan immersed himself in the volleyball world—first as Laura’s biggest supporter, rarely missing a game, and soon after as her dedicated training partner. The two spent countless hours training together both in-season and off-season, not only building skills, but a shared passion for the game.
The tides turned quickly in 2020, with the pandemic cancelling Laura's final season. Together Laura and Logan started to work together in the restoration business quickly starting and managing their own branch. While working full-time, Laura felt a strong desire to give back to the sport that had shaped so much of her life. She knew there was more to volleyball than just playing—and was eager to help forge the way for athletes who needed guidance and opportunity. Laura quickly began her coaching journey with that mission in mind. Logan stayed deeply involved, taking on the roles of videographer, statistician, and the team’s most passionate supporter, always finding ways to contribute and stay connected to the game. Fast forward to 2023—after career changes and a major cross-country move to the Pacific Northwest—Laura and Logan quickly immersed themselves in the local volleyball community.
The idea to create a club of their own was sparked during countless car rides and long conversations about how the game, and the club experience, could be better. Out of that shared vision, Forge Volleyball Academy was born. We believe in doing things differently—placing athlete development, integrity, and opportunity at the heart of everything we do.
Our mission at Forge is to create a competitive, accountable, and teaching-centered atmosphere for young athletes.
